Known Issues
Here is a list of bugs reported in current builds that will be fixed in upcoming patches.
-
The dpad responds incorrectly when selecting dialogue options at certain points while the player is in the City Hall maze. This specifically occurs while in the basement or on the 7th floor. We already have a fix for this and will get it to you ASAP.
-
Occasionally, when finishing a dialogue segment, the dpad and shortcut buttons won't register and you'll need to use the virtual cursor to make your next selection. We're still diagnosing the cause of this but will have a fix in as soon as we find it.
-
When in autocombat mode, an overlay should appear, with the word "AUTO" boldly displayed. This appears inconsistenly in the current build.
-
Music should play after entering Floodgate Tavern. The music does not get triggered for some players.
-
4K resolution causes significant framerate drop on some machines.
-
[Patched 1.4.0+]
When using "immediate" dialogue mode, dialogue strings will occasionally disappear when clicking too rapidly.
-
[Patched 1.4.0+]
Some players are experiencing screen tearing. We're working on a solution.
-
[Gamepads are supported as of 1.2.1]
Please note that we are only supporting keyboard and mouse for now. We are looking at adding full gamepad support post launch.
-
[Patched: 1.2.0]
After defeating the guards outside of Shield, the game should transition to Catherine's timeline. The screen simply fades to black and doesn't transition for some players before fading back in. This is most likely to occur if you're using "Immediate" dialogue mode. If this occurs please do not save your game. Restart from a previous save or an autosave.
-
[Patched: 1.2.0]
Some users have reported that they can't exit the Shield drone map after completing it. Returning to a previous save and redoing the puzzle should resolve it.
-
[Patched: 1.2.1]
After leaving Eagle Imports, a conversation between Dallas and Catherine should be triggered. Following this, the driver app on the phone should be unlocked and the world map accessible. At least one player has reported that the conversation was not triggered, leaving them stuck at Eagle Imports. To avoid this bug, we recommend that you save before you exit Eagle Imports. (This one was a pain. If you run into this following v1.2.1, please let us know!)
-
Some players have reported that when going to save, the screen fades to translucent black but the save menu doesn't appear. If this happens, open another header menu and then exit out of it to fix this. (We've been unable to reproduce this, but added some failsafes to prevent it from happening. Please let us know if you encounter it after 1.2.1)
General Tips
-
You can automate combat encounters via the "Gameplay" [1.3.2].
-
For a more challenging experience, select "Expert Mode" in the "Gameplay" menu [1.3.2].
-
You are able to change dialogue speed in the Dialogue Font options with the choice of "standard", "fast", and "immediate". "Immediate" will remove the scroll animation completely and make the text instantly appear. Please note that if you decide to use "standard" or "fast", you can also left click as the text is being typed during a conversation, to make it instantly appear.
-
Press and hold the spacebar in the full game to highlight all interactive elements in the environment you are in!
-
The button at the bottom of the dialogue box will enable "auto-continue." If the text is scrolling without you clicking it, ensure auto-continue is disabled.
